Nepal’s most famous trek, Gokyo Cho la Pass – Kala patthar Trekking offers high Himalaya’s base camp trek with three astounding viewpoints in the Everest region. Gokyo chola pass Kalapatthar Trekking follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake which is to the west of the Everest Base Camp, giving you the benefit to summit Gokyo Peak (5483 meters) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest and Makalu. We continue the dramatic chola pass trek by ascending Gokyo Ri in the crisp early sunrise for an incredible, awe-inspiring 360 degree view of many of the world’s highest peaks – an unforgettable experience. We will then cross the Gokyo chola pass Kalapatthar and will finally make our way back to Lukla, following the route through Everest Base Camp. Then to Kalapattar, down to Tengboche monastery, Khumjung village, Namche Bazar and Lukla.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.
Enjoy the most scenic 30minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After reaching Lukla, we will start the Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chheplung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).
Early in the morning, after having breakfast, trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (3435m) via joyful villages like Monju, Banker and Jorasalle. From there the trail slightly goes uphill to Namche Bazaar through Rhododendron and pine forests. It is for about 2.5 hrs. Today you may have rest or hike uphill to the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch, you will hike back to Namche Bazaar.
Today you will travel from Namche Bazzar to Dole. It will take upto 4 hours. You will travel through forest and will reach to the beautiful and often windswept village of Dole. The views from this palce are really great.
Today you will travel the distance of 3.3 miles or 5.3 km from Dole to Machhermo.It will take upto 4 hours.The stone made houses of Machhermo will offer you beautiful view.
Today we will head to Gokyo from Machhermo which will take upto 7 hours. The landscapes will change significantly as you will have to walk through snow, over boulders and also alongside of the river. You will be able to enjoy the dashing Gokyo Lakes covered with snow.
Today you can rest or you have the option to Climb Gokyo Ri
It will be the hard and attractive trek of entire trekking journey. The magnificent view of mountains will capture your eyes and attract your heart
Initially, walk downhill to reach Thangna village and have tea or coffee. The trail from here goes directly to Cho La Pass at (5414m). We will cross Cho La and walk down hill to Dzongla village. Today might be a difficult day when trekking. Overnight at teahouse.
After having morning breakfast, you will start your trek to Lobuche. On the way you can view Dzongla Lake, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight at teahouse.
Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial pond and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier, a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes bring us to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is located below Kala Patthar (5545m) and Mt Pumori.
Crossing villages, Buddhists monasteries, bridges and some waterfall, today we will trek to Tengboche (3890m). Overnight at Tea house.
First part of the trail directly goes through Rhododendron forests and pine forests to Fungethaga. The trail slightly goes uphill to Namche via Trashinga and Sanasa village. You will have great views of the Khumbu Himalaya from the village of Sanasa.
The trail is steep and goes down through Rhododendron and Pine forests to Jorsale. It will take about two hours and another 5 hours by walk to Lukla via Monju, Banker, Phakding, Ghats khola, Chaurikharka, Chheplung and you will arrive in Lukla. Overnight at a Guest house.
Early morning joyful flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer your Hotel. During the day you will have rest after your long journey in the Khumbu Himalayas and in the evening, we will have dinner with Nepali Family.
These are “cushion” days in case of bad weather or other circumstances delaying your return to Kathmandu. Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel
